Dashboard, schedule, and saved work
After sign-in, My cases shows your available patient attempts and classrooms. The available controls depend on your course and account type.
Find your activity
- Resume an existing patient to continue that attempt.
- Open a sequence classroom to see ordered course progress.
- Start an available assigned case for a new encounter.
- Open a creation classroom only when your course asks you to author a case.
Do not start another patient simply because you cannot find a saved one. Check the same account and classroom first.
Scheduled access
Longitudinal ID/PIN accounts show events with a start, end, display timezone and state:
| State | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Upcoming | Event information, not early access to questions or cases |
| Active | Course actions allowed during the window, subject to ordinary prerequisites |
| Ended/read-only | Retained accessible work may be revisited, but not edited/submitted |
Always read the listed timezone. A repeat event for the same classroom resumes existing progress; it is not a fresh attempt.
Public practice can be available independently if enabled by your course administrator. A gap between scheduled events does not necessarily mean public practice is disabled.
One-time expiry
One-time ID/PIN accounts display their deadline. When expired, starting, editing, submitting, and finishing are restricted. Automatic expiry handling is not the same as explicitly completing a course activity.
Do not assume leaving a browser open extends access. If teaching is delayed, ask the course team rather than creating another account.
A classroom is missing
Check the login method/account, event dates, classroom assignment, and any consent requirement. Upcoming content may deliberately be hidden. Ask the course administrator to verify access; a student's inability to see a future case is not necessarily a bug.
