Preview and supervise classroom cases
Access: active standard staff account assigned to the classroom, or application administrator. Open Supervision, then the classroom.
Prepare with previews
Choose Content previews, then the activity and published version. Case previews show the source content; Launch sandbox, then Open sandbox, creates an owned preview attempt excluded from learner statistics. Use this to prepare the session instead of working in a student's case.
Previewing does not complete a learner's prerequisite or open a shared seminar run. For a teacher-led sequence, check each published activity with the course administrator, then use the separate Group seminar workspace and run checklist.
Inspect a student attempt
Use the learner ID (not their secret PIN) or attempt number. Only attempts attributable to the selected classroom are returned.
Inspection is read-only: opening results, enlarging images, and reading reports does not save reports, reveal the student's solutions, finish a case, or update timers. Historical attempts with ambiguous classroom origin are excluded rather than guessed.
Do not project this individual view. It is a staff workspace, and images may contain identifiers that need human review.
Filter the overview
Use time, case, and where applicable sequence revision/activity filters. The minute window selects attempts started within that interval, including their current progress. It does not mean "completed during the interval."
Test presentation uses submission time instead; do not expect the two filters to produce identical populations.
The selected revision/activity scope is preserved between the overview, previews, and Live presentation. Applying a changed case filter clears revision/activity scope. Check the displayed version and activity before interpreting readiness; students pinned to a different revision are not all waiting at the same seminar step.
Use Live presentation to discuss classroom-level participation and activity, not individual learners. Its detailed tables and controls differ from the narrower counts-only public monitor.
Read the metrics
- Unique learners and attempts are different counts.
- Clinical completion uses selected clinical attempts as its denominator.
- Sequence progress is separated by published revision.
- Known-roster metrics require evidenced membership/enrollment; public-room totals can be unknown.
- Laboratory group orders appear as groups in statistics rather than inflating counts with every component test.
- Item prevalence counts attempts containing an item at least once. Repeated orders are separate from prevalence, and percentages can total more than 100%.
- Idle-adjusted active time differs from active-open time and wall-clock duration.
Creation classrooms report drafts/creators, not ordinary clinical-case completion.
Access changes
Permission is rechecked during requests and polling. If access is revoked, sensitive views clear. Do not export a report to work around revoked access; ask the course administrator to resolve the assignment.
